Doug Woog Arena is one of the oldest and most historic arenas in the state of Minnesota, named after the South St. Paul resident, player and coach, Doug Woog. Facilities include 2 regulation sized ice sheets, a large concession area, meeting room, and a warming area that overlooks both rinks. Whether you’re in the mood for a great hockey game or looking to skate with friends, Doug Woog Arena is ready to welcome you.
Barb Yackel, Director
Barb is a PSA Master rated coach who has dedicated her life to coaching. She is a former Upper Great Lakes Champion and National Competitor. Barb has 45+ years’ experience teaching, directing programs and choreographing ice shows. She has held positions with the Ice Sports Industry , U.S. Figure Skating and Professional Skater Association, national governing bodies for skating coaches across the U.S.
Natalie Fredricks
Natalie has been coaching learn to skate, power skating and private lessons for 24 years. She is a ISI Professional Coach and ISI Gold certified judge. Natalie loves coaching and mentoring young athletes to be their best and still have fun!
Gerri Weber
Gerri has traveled the world performing for 13years with Holiday on Ice/Ice Follies. She has 35 years of coaching experience, which encompasses groups, synchronized skating teams, private lessons and co-directing the Minnesota Ice Symphony .
